Venture capital investments are known for their illiquidity, but Sweater's Cashmere Fund strives to strike a balance so that we can offer liquidity, albeit with some restrictions, as a benefit to our Members. The Cashmere Fund offers redemption windows two times a year, during which investors can submit requests to redeem their shares.
2. Is there a limit to the amount of shares that can be redeemed?
Yes, redemptions are capped at a maximum of 5% of the Fund's net assets as outlined in the Cashmere Fund Prospectus. This means that the total value of shares redeemed cannot exceed 5% of the Fund's total assets.
3. What happens if the aggregate of redemption requests is below 5% of the Fund's net assets?
If the total value of redemption requests submitted during a window is less than 5% of the Fund's net assets, investors will receive 100% of their requested amount upon redemption.
4. What if the aggregate redemption requests exceed 5% of the Fund's net assets?
If the total value of redemption requests submitted during a window exceeds 5% of the Fund's net assets, a pro-rata reduction will be applied. This means that investors' redemption requests will be reduced proportionally to manage the overall redemption volume.
5. How is the pro-rata reduction calculated?
The pro-rata reduction is calculated based on the ratio of the total redemption requests to the available funds for redemption. This ensures that the total redeemed amount stays within the 5% limit as outlined in Sweater’s Cashmere Fund prospectus.
6. If my redemption request is partially repurchased, will the remaining shares carry forward to the next window?
The remaining shares will not be automatically carried over to the next redemption window. If you wish to sell your remaining shares in the future, a new request will need to be submitted in app once the next repurchase window opens.
